John Bruce is a strategist, experience designer, and filmmaker. His work involves mapping paths and designing experiences for platforms, programs, and engagement.
John also co-founded the Brooklyn-based design and architecture firm super-interesting! He spent more than two decades working in film and television production, serving in a variety of roles, and also served as integrated marketing director for lifestyle magazines and ecommerce. Recent and Current Projects include: lead strategist for the Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator, a project of Pratt Institute, launching spring 2014; co-director/producer for the moving image and interactive platform project End of Life; platform producer for the documentary Far From Afghanistan; senior strategist for Shelbyville Multimedia, and Immigrant Nation – both transmedia projects focused on immigration and welcoming.
Other clients include: The Vancouver Observer, Free Range Studios, U.S. Dept. Of Energy, IceStone, Novo Foundation, Red Hook Initiative, Barnard Collage, Times Square Alliance, and Global Round Table Leadership. He earned a BFA from the School of Visual Arts in NYC, and an MBA in Sustainable Systems from the Bainbridge Graduate Institute (BGI), on Bainbridge Island, Washington. John serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Robert Flaherty Film Seminar.
