Wendy Brawer
Founding Director, Green Map System
Wendy E. Brawer has been the Founding Director of Green Map System since 1995. She is an eco-designer and social innovator focused on sustainable community development through local leadership. From her original New York Green Map created in 1992, the movement has spread to 55 countries, all supported by participatory tools, interactive, multilingual and mobile websites, books and presentations co-created by Wendy. A past Designer in Residence at Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, Woman of Earth and Utne Visionary, she has 20 years of experience communicating, teaching and consulting on mobility, energy and waste reduction.
